I'm so glad you like the pictures. :-) I used a software package called Paint Shop Pro and it has a powerful layers capability that allowed me to blend multiple images together. Colour was important to the Ancient Egyptians (their colour palette was based around six groups: green, blue, yellow, red, black and white) and the tombs of the pharaohs were highly decorated, so I wanted the artwork to reflect that importance and be colourful too. Plus, I've never seen skies as blue as the ones I saw in Luxor, so I can personally vouch for those in the artwork!
