I was truly fortunate to visit Egypt many years ago and it made a lasting impression on me. Whereas some places can fail to live up to their reputations, Luxor did not disappoint. The temples of Karnak and Luxor were amazing, and the temple of Hatshepsut was just breath-taking. But the BEST thing about the trip was the Valley of the Kings - OMG it was soo incredible! To be able to go inside a tomb and look at the paintings done thousands of years ago was just awe-inspiring! I was absolutely THRILLED to do the artwork for GB's story!
