It's that weekly check-in time again, so feel free to step on up and use the comments to tell us how you're doing.   Or, alternatively,  flail/cry/jump-for-joy/pour a large one (delete as applicable).   Got any questions you need answered?  Ask away!   Just want to chat about something that isn't the Pros Big Bang?  Well...we're probably OK with that too ;)

I made the decision to change my AU to original fiction. I felt like it was close to original. It's going well and now I have a different Pros AU idea that I wrote a few thousand words on. If it doesn't work ot, I hope I'll think of something that does.

It is interesting that you did that, considering that many authors wrote Pros stories that I think are original fic. :) You'd be in good company.

If you feel better about the story having it as original fic, that's great, but I've read a lot of Pros stories that could most definitely be original fic, if only the main characters were given different names. ;)

I agree, lots of AU could be original with a few changes.

Lately I'm trying to send out things that don't really feel like fanfic under my penname, and try to get them published.

I love AU too. But I also want to work harder at my original fiction.
