No, not time yet to use ths icon. Just practicing for now.
Well, it's defintely going better than it was; I'm currently just over the rough draft limit. But it's all pretty much junk. And I've always known it'll take more than 15,000 words to tell this story. :/
I was outlining last night (and fell asleep, so here I am now), and I can see where the holes are. And they're a *little* bit (a LOT) bigger than, "." The story itself is noticeably lacking, development-wise (they go from point A to point M several times). And Doyle isn't, well, Doyle; and Bodie's behavior is explained better in my head than on the page. D:
Although there's one scene that did exactly what I wanted it to... :D *One* scene. D:
The biggest challenge coming up, though, is in revising. The first half of the story was burned onto a DVD amid the dying cries of my video card. And there's the rub - I have no way of reading a DVD right now (am using a netbook for personal stuff), and I still have a verklompt foot. The first 4-5,000 words are on paper (with lots of markups).
I'm trying to get someone to get me over to the library so I can take the seven minutes to mail the file to myself. Unfortunately, that won't happen before Friday. So I feel a disruption in the force because I can't get into editing it properly, much less sending it off for discussion. :(
Well, I *could* retype it in if I have to. That's a form of revising. ;_;
