Weekly check in post!

A big hello and welcome to our latest check in post.

Thought I would start this post with links to a couple of sites that have some great stuff on them:

Internet Movie Car Database – Professionals section

Internet Movie Firearms Database – Professionals section

Next, as it is a Monday and we all need pretty things on a Monday, a few pics for you:

And lastly, as always, let us know how you are getting on in the comments, whether you are thinking, planning, plotting, writing, beta-ing, editing, cheerleading, or, like me, just waiting eagerly.

EDIT: In the comments [livejournal.com profile] golden_bastet linked to the seven point system which looks really interesting.

Thanks for the pom-pom shake, think I need it:) Getting the rough draft requirements done has helped with the confidence though!

So long as I don't get lost on the track*g* Will wait to see what my beta says and hope she likes it;)

I hope so! Waiting to find out if what you've written is okay or complete rubbish is nerve wracking. I always feel it's rubbish so if I get a positive response there's always a big sigh of relief.

Hope so! It's a bit different from my normal efforts so ...

As you sent it this morning it might get read in the current grey horrible weather in UK - and will therefore cheer me up!

(No confusion here. Was I supposed to be confused?...)

[identity profile] margaret-r.livejournal.com 2012-06-13 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
I shall hope for cheering and not depressing*g* You may not have been confused but I was, during my posting of replies that seemed to go awry and I tried deleting and ... never mind ... we just won't go there*bg*

Nothing new from me. I want to write another section from this and I want it to be the best one yet but...

It's been a few days of fan-hitting Real Life and... yeah. I may have to just let it sit a bit and think and hope for the best.

[identity profile] liriel1810.livejournal.com 2012-06-14 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Very true. I'm sure you can do it! *waves pom-poms*

[identity profile] liriel1810.livejournal.com 2012-06-14 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
*g* Yeah, you gotta be careful what requests you're agreeing to write. A detailed request is good, though, because it tells you exactly what the requester is looking for rather than having to guess what will make them happy.

I'm glad it's not heavy editing.

Yay for back to Pros! :D

[identity profile] liriel1810.livejournal.com 2012-06-14 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree totally. Waiting for beta feedback that what you've written isn't totally rubbish is a very anxious time. I hope by now you've received confirmation from your beta that your story is fabulous!

[identity profile] hutchynstarsk.livejournal.com 2012-06-15 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
Let's hope it works. :)

[identity profile] margaret-r.livejournal.com 2012-06-15 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Positive feedback was received:) The only problem is that she has quite rightly pointed out how long this fic will have to be. Now I'm very concerned about being able to finish it for the final deadline. Maybe it will have to be held over for the next BB ...(sigh!)

[identity profile] margaret-r.livejournal.com 2012-06-15 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
I think I would kill for the ability to write 10,000 words in three days ...

Congratulations:D You're definitely there! looking forward to reading the story:)

[identity profile] liriel1810.livejournal.com 2012-06-15 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
Yay for positive feedback! Oh dear. Well, the end of September is still quite a way away. I hope you can manage to get the story done on time.

[identity profile] liriel1810.livejournal.com 2012-06-15 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
I think I totally fried my brain doing that. It took me the week to recover. lol I think my record is 21K in 3 days - but that story just spewed out of me, I didn't even have to think about it.

Once the 'movie' starts playing in my head, I can get a lot written in a very short time.

Thanks!

21K in 3 days? Gulp ...

[identity profile] liriel1810.livejournal.com 2012-06-15 09:31 am (UTC)(link)
That was a one time thing only... and it happened years ago. ;) These days I'm doing amazing to get 2K a day on my good days.
