This week's check in comes after our charming and talented artists have been assigned their charming and talented writers. So we can finally hear from the art side of our challenge team.

How are things going, artists? Are you excited about the story you claimed? Do you have lots of ideas?

And for the writers, how's your writing going? Are you eagerly looking forward to the September deadline, or starting to have a bit of a meltdown?

Well, I've just gone over the 20k mark and am still only on the top of page 2 of my 5 page summary. Where are all the words coming from? Am trying to keep up with writing every day - a good piece of advice from professional writers but not one I've ever adhered to previously - and am in the middle of writing a wedding scene. Whose you ask? Ah that would be telling!

That's an impressive word count already. Sounds like your story is going to be truly epic!

Good luck with working through those last three pages of the outline and writing every day. (I try to do that, but life being what it is, don't always manage it.)
