It’s always my favourite part of the process when the art gets underway.

I am so relieved. My artist is making lovely pictures and I wrote The End on my story. Now for the editing!

Early 1980’s Britain… were bodies cremated or burial plots? Asking for my muse.

This from a friend who is British:

At that time cremation was more popular (although there may be the odd one that had bought and paid for their plot and so would be buried instead)
However, certain religions would opt for burial over cremation, eg a Catholic (esp. in Ireland) would opt for burial every time.

And what would one do with the ashes? Would there be an outside memorial garden.

I guess that would depend on the person's wishes - burial, urn on the book shelf, scattered amongst the moors - who knows. :-)

There were several episodes when the characters were at grave yards - the one for Ann Seaford, Cowley at a friends funeral, the lads jogging through one and Doyle seeing his own casket being carried away in DIAG.
