Inspired by merentha13's suggestion of an online slang dictionary, I thought I'd include a few other Brit checking resources:

List of British word not widely used in the U.S. (Pretty much as advertised, a big long list of Brit-specific words)

Amnesia, huh? You can use that for research purposes ya know. I hear there's a market for amnesia stories.

Then again, alcohol may be just what you need in your condition. ;-)

Another group of awfully nice strangers keep telling me I have a 10,000 word... "rough draft" I believe they called it, due in a different "fandom" -- why does everyone have to use jargon -- by the 28th of May.

I think you'd better make that a double...

I believe it's very good for *causing* amnesia, at least that's what the lads always claim.

*nods* Yep, excellent for causing it... perhaps not so good at curing it, but hey, it's worth a shot if you've already got amnesia. You know how two negatives make a positive? Maybe if you already have amnesia, copious quantities of alcohol will cure it. Yep, that's my theory and I'm sticking to it!

Unfortunately that warm glow always convinces you that everything you write is brilliant... until that warm glow wears off. :D
