My beta-ish read my draft and it's not the utter crap I was thinking! yay.

I'm just south of 60%, which sounds more impressive than mygodihavetowriteanothereightthousandpluswords.

I'm also a little stuck - as I posted on my LJ a couple of days back, "when I explain the plot it sounds actually pretty interesting, but when I try to write it I get stuck" - but I think it's more I need to put it down for a couple of days. It's a three-day weekend here starting tomorrow, so maybe around Sunday / Monday I'll see if I can get some writing done.

I'm pretty sure I'll make the word count. But, considering the characters have really changed since I started, and I'm trying to write rather than revise right now, the first draft is going to be oogly.

I've only "known" her about six months, but the relationship with my beta-ish is going very well.

...I wonder if she'd be on board for the original fic I've had percolating for about 18 months?
