I've just dumped mine onto yet another wonderfully supportive and patient beta reader, and I'm ready to throw myself at the artist side of things once the summaries come out. Am a bit worried that I'm watching Hawaii 5 O right now though, when normally it would be Pros. Are there any tablets I can take?

I did however did get through a pivotal scene yesterday, which made me happy. Now Bodie and Doyle have to unravel the problem!

The premises would be for me but in another fandom's (very old and forsaken for ages) challenge but the solution wouldn't suit: it's a gen story. My B/C story is going on fine though very, very slowly: if it's ever finished, it will be next year (with some hope).

Lovely incentive posters... got totally stuck on the mental image the second one gave me!

I've managed to double my previous word count... but before anyone gets too excited, that only puts me at around 3,000 words. *g* I've cleared the deck though, so the next four weeks is going to be solely devoted to my story... mostly. ;) (Just got asked to do some artwork for someone)

My beta-ish read my draft and it's not the utter crap I was thinking! yay.

I'm just south of 60%, which sounds more impressive than mygodihavetowriteanothereightthousandpluswords.

I'm also a little stuck - as I posted on my LJ a couple of days back, "when I explain the plot it sounds actually pretty interesting, but when I try to write it I get stuck" - but I think it's more I need to put it down for a couple of days. It's a three-day weekend here starting tomorrow, so maybe around Sunday / Monday I'll see if I can get some writing done.

I'm pretty sure I'll make the word count. But, considering the characters have really changed since I started, and I'm trying to write rather than revise right now, the first draft is going to be oogly.

All I can say is ... I'm glad there are other people with a word count as low as mine is at the moment! I'm not even going to mention the fact that most of mine is also rubbish that will need major rewrites:0

I think we all think our stuff is rubbish when we start writing... and then our beta comes along and smacks us on the back of the head and tells us not be an idiot... oh wait, that's what mine does. *g* I'm sure your story isn't anywhere near rubbish.
