All I can say is ... I'm glad there are other people with a word count as low as mine is at the moment! I'm not even going to mention the fact that most of mine is also rubbish that will need major rewrites:0

I think we all think our stuff is rubbish when we start writing... and then our beta comes along and smacks us on the back of the head and tells us not be an idiot... oh wait, that's what mine does. *g* I'm sure your story isn't anywhere near rubbish.

My beta has been been alternating between waving her pompoms madly in my face or smacking me on the head with them ... I think she's wearing them out*g* I think I'll make the word count for the looming deadline - it will just be as specified ... a very, very rough draft:D

*g* Sounds very much like my beta. Betas like that are worth their weight in gold. Hey, a rough draft is good! Then you get another three months to polish it up all shiny. ;)

I have to agree with liriel1810: my count may be a little higher (and I still have quite a bit of writing to go), but otherwise you and I are living parallel lives, my friend.

Ah, a fellow sufferer! Thank goodness I'm not alone*g* I have probably more than 3,000 words if I put all the bits together - but it's hard to join it up when it's full of bright red writing saying "fix this", "fill out here", "More dialogue"*g* The whole thing seems to have more gaps than a sieve!

My beta has been working her butt off too, smacking, waving her pompoms - she's worth her weight in gold:)

If we both hang in there I'm sure we'll make it *looks hopeful*:D
