Congratulations on your posting! I shall dive into your story very soon. Thank you, longstrt.

If you need help posting the art to AO3, drop me an email. In a nutshell, you need to upload your art to some place that provides the html code. I used photobucket. Then copy and paste the code in the place you wish the art to appear directly into your story file, preview, then post.

I want the lads, too! Shows just what good taste we have ;) Thanks, Kat!

Congratulations on getting your story online! :D

So yeah, we did it, and after tackling LJ for the better part of the day I think you deserve a nice and quiet evening now :)

Re: Your art really was great

Ah, thanks, C, I'm not totally pleased with it but I'm glad I got it done! And I won't take up chrochet, I have too many hobbies as it is ;) I need to practice them!

Thank you :)

Wow! This was quite an emotional ride! You did the lads reactions well, from Bodie's withdrawal to Ray's anger and hurt, they stayed in character. I liked the way you used scenes from canon to illustrate how and why they felt like they did. I really enjoyed this!

The artwork was gorgeous. The individual portraits are stunning. (I'm particularly fond of the purple robe! *g*)

Well done to both of you! Enjoy the feeling of being done! *g*

[identity profile] roven75.livejournal.com 2011-10-27 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, the purple robe was an image I couldn't get out of my head after reading lbc's story. I really wanted to paint it, although it took me four tries to get something halfway passable, and it could be so much better still. Ah well, might give it a try again! For now I enjoy the feeling of being done, like you said :)

Congratulations on getting it posted. With that many LJ posts I know it must have been a bear. Now you can sit back and relax. :D

I don't know if you usually post your stories to LJ in the Rich Text or the HTML window.

I just ask because a common problem first time posters seem to have with AO3 is that the HTML window is obvious but the tag for the Rich Text window is right above it.

If you have a word document where you used the word program's automatic italicizing, etc., without adding the HTML tags your easiest posting option is to click on the Rich Text window and then click on the Word symbol within that window. A clip board window will pop up. If you copy your document in to that window it will load in exactly the same fashion as your word document.

That's a really sweet story and I'm glad they both saw sense in the end! Roven, you did a great job, what fantastic original artwork! xx

Thanks ILWB! *hugs*

I'm looking forward to reading this. I love all that is related to Bodie's merc days.
Fantastic artwork, Roven, the colors and texture are real eye-catchers, Bodie is gorgeous and now I can't get Doyle in his purple robe out of my head. ;-)

[identity profile] roven75.livejournal.com 2011-10-27 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Cloud, you're so nice, you go everywhere and comment - I'm starting to feel silly *g*

I think I might give the robed Doyle another try, maybe a different color, see how it turns out. It still bugs me I didn't get the face right. I'm open for suggestions!

[identity profile] cloudless-9193.livejournal.com 2011-10-27 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm just trying to keep you busy so that you've no time to be hard on yourself. ;-)
I'll think about Doyle and send you suggestions by email.

Congratulations on posting - the art work is fabulous, and I'm so looking forward to reading it. *beams*

Thank you! :)

Yay! Congrats on posting!

I think you've really captured one of the main conflicts in B&D fanfic - their ability to admit both the relationship and that it could be more than a passing fancy. Given their characterization, their despair and innate stubbornness is part of the package. That's a big thing to me.

Roven's artwork captures that crucial point, too - you both got it down.

Kudos to you both!

And it feels so good to be done! *g*

Yeah, Bodie's kept his independent streak and it comes out in the story; I'm glad it shows in the picture, too. And you only know what you'd be missing when you're about to lose it or have lost it, right?

Massive congrats on posting, this is really going to be a treat, now I just need a few more hours in the day to catch up on my reading.

Cloudless has taken the words out of my mouth! I also love anything to do with Bodie as a merc so I'm looking forward to reading this. Thanks for your hard work.

An amazing roller-coaster ride above the 'abyss' of emotions! So sorry you had even more difficulties getting the story into its AO3 home than the lads did finding their true home! *g*
The art complements the story beautifully - especially the purple robe!
