Hi everyone and welcome to the first weekly check in post for the 2016 Pros BB!

First I just wanted to remind everyone that the deadline for the writers sign up is March 1st so if you would like to sign up then follow this link:

Writers sign up post

Next here are the links for the Beta sign up post and the

Cheerleader sign up post. And lastly a quick reminder that artists / vidders sign ups will open in May.

Right then, now that is done on to some links that we thought would be useful / fun / distracting :).

And to start with for anyone who'd like to nab them here are a few word count meters like this one:

Writertopia: writing meters, Progress Bar,
and NaNoWriMo Word Meter

Next links to a few articles / web pages that we liked last year and figured that they must have worked!:

24 quotes that will inspire you to write more

Story starters and creative writing ideas for fiction

NaNoWriMo Pep talks

The 100 Best Websites for Writers in 2015

And lastly, as always, please chat about anything you like, ask us questions, and let us know what the best bribe is that will talk you into signing up. *get some pom poms over here*

I am writing slowly. I have about 2,500 words so it's a start!

I have started screen-capping the Internet in pious expectation that some of what I grab will come in handy later. So, not panicking yet...

Let's see--very little plot, but I do have 3000 words! With the girlchild off school this week and lots of activities, I have no time to write.

2000 seems to be a popular word count this week, so you're in illustrious company. Yay! for having words!

WOOHOO! for having 3000 words!!! You get a special hug from the CI5 stoats for having the biggest word-count of the week (and I'm sure a plot will come along eventually. Much like London buses. You'll wait ages for one and then three will come along together...)

I keep getting distracted by 'relevant and inspirational' pictures for my story but I've got a concrete plot (it's just the details to figure out) and have written the start plus two scenes. 2'539 words, better than last year! Hope everyone's stories are behaving themselves. :-)
