Ot maybe you should just find a way to have extra hours in every day!
I got round all the problems by setting Spooks and HP in Regency England so that my chosen Spooks characters and grown-up Harry could be the same age with no complicated explanations or doctored timelines.
You definitely have to watch Spooks - a.s.a.p. - never mind some day! It's MI5, ensemble cast which changes as and when people get shot/blown up/etc. and is full of good looking well developed characters, topical issues, and fascinating back stories. Brilliantly scripted and acted. But never expect the hero to survive and come back in next week's episode - he might, but the show doesn't always work that way. Edgy stuff!
