A question on formatting

My artist has done some very lovely drawings of the lads that go with specific text. I was wondering if someone could explain to me how to set up a section of the story where I can have the text show up on one side of the page, while the picture sits next to it on the other side of the page. Kind of like two columns, one of text and one of the artwork. I've seen it done - just can't figure out how to do it. I'll be putting the story in my lj and then doing a copy paste to get it into AO3, if that makes a difference in setting this up. Thanks for any advice!
