This week's check in comes after our charming and talented artists have been assigned their charming and talented writers. So we can finally hear from the art side of our challenge team.

How are things going, artists? Are you excited about the story you claimed? Do you have lots of ideas?

And for the writers, how's your writing going? Are you eagerly looking forward to the September deadline, or starting to have a bit of a meltdown?

I created art for the story I got. (My first choice, too! Yay!) I was quite obsessed with it and had so much fun!!! :D

I'm getting there with my writing. Just trying to keep moving forward slowly and not worry yet about all the editing it'll need. :) I think I'm over the hardest part for me to write. Yes, there's all sorts of plotty stuff left, but the lads don't have to be set against each other anymore. Whew...

I am in the process with my art - have shown some stuff to my writer, have a couple more things just needing a final review from my lovely beta before showing my writer, and am currently working on the final piece (but it's giving me grief), so all in all, I'm on course. :)

Writing progress hasn't changed at all in the past couple of weeks, but that's mostly because my beta has been too flat out busy to have a look at my second draft yet. Still lots of time, though, and I reckon there'll only be minor tweaks needed after the second draft is done.

Writing: I'm kind of exhausted, but I'm filling in what bits I can when I can. That's how it goes right now.

As a writer, I'm done and dusted and off to my exceptionally gorgeous proof reader. As a vidder, I am truly delighted with the story I've been gifted and am having a lovely time reading it and devising things for the vid. Am not sure at this stage whether to go for the more obvious, or something more unusual...

Well, I've just gone over the 20k mark and am still only on the top of page 2 of my 5 page summary. Where are all the words coming from? Am trying to keep up with writing every day - a good piece of advice from professional writers but not one I've ever adhered to previously - and am in the middle of writing a wedding scene. Whose you ask? Ah that would be telling!

I am making progress on my story. Slow, but steady. I've got this morning, tomorrow morning, and the following morning--each day until about 2--to work solidly. You'd think there would be progress, right?

Well, the hands on stuff on my part is almost done, I had to give away a part of it and am hopeful to get it back next week so I will be able to continue.
All I need to do is get the Art into a form to present it with the story!
Which just fits wonderfully!
