Howdy agents! How goes it?

Now that the big writers reveal has come and gone, it really feels like we're properly up and running with this years Big Bang - hurray! Let us know how things are progressing - stories started, stories thought about, stories a mere twinkle in the ex-mercenary's eye - we want to hear it all! And vidders/artists - have you thought about taking the plunge this year when the sign-ups open? Maybe you're up for trying a new style, or have an idea about the sort of story you'd love to work with. We'd love to hear your thoughts :)

For now, have a good weekend, and if you're at a bit of a loose end, why not take a look at these writing tools/games right here. A bit of fun, and you never know - it might knock the odd idea loose too \o/

I'm toying with the idea of signing up as an artist for the first time. I'm currently oscillating between 'It'll be fine' and 'OH MY GOD! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!' Am distracting myself by re-watching Season 1 on Blu-ray.

I'm encouraging the it'll be fine side of your brain. Join us in the madness! I hesitated my first BB but jumped in anyway. It was quite a lot of fun - with a bit (heh!) of frustration mixed in - but all well worth it when October rolls around. So c'mon - everybody is doing it! *g*

A week ago I would have been in the dumps about this, but in the past few days a number of strands of thought have been coming together, so I have the start of the start of a plan, so to speak. Right now, researching like mad to see if it will all work. Looks like it will be pre-series again...

I has a story - about 11,500 words worth of story! I have a few actions scenes to write [which are hard for me - I always think they're not exciting enough.] And I need a better ending. Anybody out there have a spare ending? I'm sure Bodie and Doyle would be very grateful! *VBG*

I have three possible stories. Last year's BB which never got finished. The one which is sitting in my WiP folder as "Bodie Whump". And an AU.

And I am humming and hahing and picking at all three of them.

The one I most want to work on is the AU. But it is a total AU not just Alt!CI5 and given that I have yet to publish *any* Pros fic (unless you count that Old Joke), do I really need my first to be a total AU? On the other hand, given that unless you have friended me, the fandom doesn't know me from Eve, should I just go with it, since I have nobody's expectations to live up to?

Yeah. I think I may just work on all three and see which is finished by June.

I aten't writing. :-( This is because the other fandom story I want to finish is turning monster on me but the end is now in sight as is hope that I can start writing Pros. I do have plans and schemes and a plot and happy daydreaming about scenes.

I'm proud to announce that I've passed the seven thousand word mark! That's seven thousand more words than I thought I'd get. The only problem is that I see that Bodie/Doyle is an otp... and I don't know how to write convincing slash. Or any other kind of romance for that matter *embarrassed grin*. I hope that's not a problem for you ladies?

I still think it's too sad and angsty, but I suppose that when the plotbunnies attack, you haven't really got a choice =-)

Well, I'm looking forward to signing up as an artist. I haven't decided on a style or anything at all - all that will come when I have read the story draft I've claimed. I'm hoping to make more than one piece, maybe an overall themed piece and maybe something that illustrates a particular scene or moment - but who can tell. I know that I am looking forward to working with the author if that's what they want. Even though it's only March this year has been a bit of a rubbish one so far and this challenge is something that I'm looking forward to!
