Title: Why I Sojourn Here
Author:
halotolerant
Artist:
sc_fossil
Archive to Pros Lib: Yes, please!
Genre: Slash
Characters/Pairing: Bodie/Doyle, reference to previous Doyle/Others
Word count: ~36,300
Warnings: No Major Warnings Apply (but please see author's note for a content warning if you wish)
Summary: Ray Doyle was a policeman, and a good one, but when his partner died on the beat in 1972, a cloud of scandal and blackmail forced him out of his job and his city. Nearly five years later, now an artist, he lives a rural recluse, alone by choice but often lonely.
Then, one dark night, CI5 agent William Bodie crashes quite literally into his life, bringing a tale of international espionage and intrigue right under Ray’s nose. Bodie is dangerous, chaotic and quite possibly untrustworthy, but Ray finds himself increasingly drawn into the investigation, and toward the man himself. What should Ray believe, and who should he trust? Is the danger even real, and is it even closer to home than he could imagine? And what’s he supposed to do about the way Bodie makes him feel?
Notes: My artist Kat -
