Oh dear. The links don't seem to be working correctly. At the bottom of the first page, the link to Part 2 takes me to the first page again, and the link to Part 3 takes me to Part 2, but there's no connection from there to permit access to Part 3.

If you click on [livejournal.com profile] longstrt's username you should be able to get to part three from the homepage of the journal. It's the last entry posted there. :)

Sorry about that

I will try to get that fixed. My use of html is so poor. Thanks for letting me know.

Oh dear. I was reading part one, but now I can't even get back to it. I can get to part three from your LJ, but not to parts one or two.

Do you maybe have the posts for parts one and two f-locked?

From: [identity profile] ladyhawke2.livejournal.com
I think they may be locked, I can't get them either.

For those waiting to read parts one and two, maybe you could use the E-reader file link and download the whole story to read until the links are fixed?

[livejournal.com profile] przed has done a wonderful job and has converted the story into a number of different file formats, including .pdf, .doc and .txt files so that it would be possible to read the story without an ereader.

Nope - I can't access any of it, not even part one.

I'll try the e-reader route.

I enjoyed the story very much - loved the tension between the lads, the misunderstandings and Cowley's triple think.

Thanks so much for the nice comments. I hope you didn't have too much trouble getting from one part to another.

I'm confused

I have tried the links to my story a couple of times and each time it has worked. Is anyone still having trouble?
I'm writing this late Saturday evening. I will certainly try to do something, but as I say I am confused. I don't understand what you mean by locked.

I unblocked the two parts

I guess I did have two parts blocked, but everything should be okay now.

This was fun.

I don't think I've read many stories where the source of conflict stems partly from one of the lads being potentially promoted over the other, but it's believable.

I have a soft spot for stories where a bitter quarrel is followed by one of the lads being injured.

I enjoyed your story. it was a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I have a soft spot for older lads fic and this falls into the cusp of the genre. The letting go of one stage of your life to commence the next is always difficult and you explored this with B/D.

I downloaded and read from there. It was easier.

Nice pleasant read for a Sunday evening! Thanks for that.

Great read. The angst between B&D was well written. Loved Ray's sensitivity to his age (hits home, that does!) and I'd pick Alan Rickman over Jonathan Pryce as the Most Popular Man - but that's just my opinion!

Jeremy was a delightful OC and I think your choice of Jonathan Pryce to represent him is a good one! I'm so glad Cowley wrapped everything up well in the end - as he always does, of course, but this time it included his own future, which made a nice change! Thanks for letting us envisage the lads growing old together with CI5 in good hands!

Finally catching up with a thank you for your story! I think the idea of a long story challenge is a great one and gives writers the opportunity to construct intricate plots and see them through to the end and I think you've done this really well in your story which I thought was original with lots of tension, confusion and, as someone else has already mentioned, triple think on Cowley's part.

Thanks so much for your contribution to the Big Bang!
