norfolkdumpling
Archive to Pros Lib: Yes
Genre: Slash
Characters/Pairing: Bodie/Doyle
Word count: 14,140

Notes:
Many thanks to
callistosh65 and
przed for the Pros Big Bang, bringing together in one place such an abundance of high quality new Pros fic.
I wouldn’t (couldn’t) have joined in the Pros Big Bang if I had not had a 11,000-word WIP that was complete but for a few scenes when the challenge was launched. BB offered the perfect motivation to finish and post it. “At Bay” was planned from the outset as an exercise in writing something a little darker than my usual knock-about stories of love and happiness. I tried, really I did.
Many thanks to my generous beta
greengerbil and my splendid artist
norfolkdumpling. All errors and infelicities are entirely my own.

Seriously, I enjoyed this enormously, and I'm so glad you were able to take part in the Big Bang.

Date: 2010-09-24 06:57 am (UTC)I really enjoyed the story and it was great fun to read :D
And very clever how you added the canon bits into the story! You know, that this one should have a sequel, don't you .... ;)

Date: 2010-09-28 06:06 pm (UTC)Your description of Bodie being an 'aggressively lecherous tomcat' is a great first impression ... but we know better.
Bring on the sequel.
Well done!

Date: 2010-10-26 10:05 pm (UTC)He *was* flirting with him, wasn’t he? I’m glad someone else noticed that!
I thought there was so much to like and enjoy in your story e.g. Cowley was brilliant and I wanted to hug him! And I liked the way you made use of Bodie’s various German connections, linking them up - I thought that was a good idea which I’d never really considered before. And generally I liked the various uses you made of canon and combined them with your own original ideas to such good effect.
Really enjoyed this, thanks a lot.
