Hello, intrepid Pros BB participants! It's Weekly Check-in time again, so how are things going?

Artists and Vidders, are you already sharpening your pencils, screen-capping all four box-sets of the DVDs, and streaming Spotify 24x7 for those perfect songs to vid the lads to? Do let us know!

Writers, have your stories been wandering in the proverbial desert for so long, they're considering joining the French Foreign Legion? Or have they been tabbing happily across the sands like SAS-Bodie and are already eyeing-up an ice-cold beer in Alexandria? (Or Alexandra Palace - if you're unbelievable2 :-) Do tell!

And if you're finding yourself struggling for inspiration, don't forget that the UK General Election is tomorrow. Bet you could invent all manner of Pros-y mayhem around one of those... *g*

I'm playing with my new picture editing programs, so that I knew what to do when I grabbed a story. :-)

Surprisingly, I have good news for the first time in weeks! months! - the story is actually on track.

It's a new story, and it's working a lot differently. First, I have a pretty complete outline, which really surprises me because that's not how I roll. Right now I'm up to ~ 2,300 words, and only through a little part of the outline. I've been camping out in an empty office at lunch and writing a bit more every day; as long as nothing else blows up severely, I should have a draft in time for the end of the month.

So I'm feeling good about things - though I'm concerned that I've just cursed myself, LOL.

YAY for having an almost complete outline AND 2300 words!!! As I said to fiorenza_a, there are still three weeks to go until the 1st of July, so you can totally do this!

And you know what the BEST thing is for de-jinxing? The mod squad dance! Altogether now...

I'm done with my story, but I wish I had seen that picture before now. That would have inspired me. I can just imagine those blue eyes looking lasciviously at a gorgeous slender body with hair on the chest, running down below his belt. Whoo! Whoo!

Hey look! I'm kind of hitting the check-in thang, almost on the right day... Um, that's the good news *g*

My story is almost at the finished rough draft stage, but we've taken to glowering at one another. Bodie is being particularly sulky, Doyle is leaping into bed with everyone (I really wish he wouldn't), and the body count is getting higher by the day - apparently my muse's way of dealing with tricky plot holes is to murder everyone.

In other words - my fic is out of control, I have no idea, and I'm as happy as a clam *g*

Oooh yes! Your time-keeping's much improved, although it's always lovely to have you pop in, whenever that is. :-)

I'm not at all surprised that Bodie is sulking, if Doyle is bed-hopping. It'll end in tears, mark my words, but until then - Swiss Roll. The lad will not be eating if he's miserable, so he'll need tempting (and I don't mean by his partner.)

Oh, dear. Congrats on having the draft almost done, that's fabulous, but I hope you can wrangle the lads into behaving better (or at least behaving badly together rather than apart). So glad that you're happy with it, that's the important part. It's a lot of work and you should be proud.

If the words wish to self-identify as sentences, who are we to judge? If it makes them happy (and they've got a full outline) that's surely all that really matters. Yay words! Words are awesome. Sentences are a whole other thing, especially in English, they usually require a lot of bribery and threats. Although I'm sure that your words have arranged themselves nicely and I'm looking forward to reading them.

Anyway, I've got 6'340 words done in chronological order and about 1'100 done of assorted scenes. So yay! The difficulty right now is introducing an IMPORTANT CHARACTER but he seems kinda shy. Oh, and trying to tone down my evil side when it comes to more *ahem* violent moments.
