This is a very clever idea with the reduced background heads and the pictures in it.
The combination and the 'only 3 colours' make them very special!

Actually the reduced colour palette was a bit of a cheat as it made it easier to have the "inside" pictures share a similar "look and feel"! The first thing I did after making the inner images was to convert them to black and white, so I could apply the same blue/teal filters to all of them, and then embed them in the outer white "frame".

Thank you for saying such lovely things about my art! I had enormous fun making it for Merentha's wonderful story.

But I woudn't call it cheat, because probably it would be too confusing with too many colours, wouldn't it?

You're right - with too many colours in the image, it's difficult to focus on the main components - the "outside" image and the "inside image". At one point I tried adding a border and that completely wrecked the effect as my poor eyes didn't know which bits of the composition to focus on. Having a restricted colour palette certainly helped with that. (And I love those shades of blue and green! :-)
