Notes: I would like to thank [livejournal.com profile] halotolerant for her invaluable medical beta and help with my timeline. Also, may I just say that if you want to know how to stab someone correctly for maximum damage, ask a doctor. *g* I’d also like to thank [livejournal.com profile] ashley_pitt who was kind enough to answer some very general questions about hand therapy for me. Of course any remaining mistakes are my own.

I’d also like to thank Zed for the lovely trailer vid and of course [livejournal.com profile] przed and [livejournal.com profile] callistosh65 for not only hosting this party but for, well, just being bloody brilliant broads in general. *tips hat*

Lastly, I’d like to thank my flistees for their encouragement, their encouraging mockage of my story related angst and ND, Vic and Mikey in particular for bearing the brunt of it. ♥

*g* Insanity runs in your family, does it?

It's good that you've got people you can ask about medical stuff like that. I don't even know anyone I could ask surreptitiously about stuff like that. Timelines are very important. *nods* Can't have them recover too quickly or too slowly!

*g*

My other fandom tends to have other 'specialties' covered. ;) Perhaps you could tell me who I should pester in Pros regarding my bullet wound questions. ;)

That's great that your prof is so happy and willing to help out with your writing. :)

Oooh, that [livejournal.com profile] little_details looks promising! Thanks for that! If I can't find what I need there, I'll PM one of the lovelies with medical knowledge.

I'm a bit reluctant to make an open post with my query because I like to keep the gory... sordid... details of what's happening in my story a secret. ;)

I spent the whole evening reading entries there. lol I noticed that those who were very concise about what they wanted got the best response. I actually found SOME of the information I need there, so thanks very much for the link!

*smacks head* I'm far too literal sometimes. *g* I have a very difficult time not revealing everything I know about things when asking a question. I sent a PM to Dawn and she's been extremely helpful.

*g* It really is! And some of the people who are asking questions are mean to their characters. *g* (In particular thinking about the person who wanted to shoot their character SIX TIMES as a 'warning' *boggles*)

It's definitely easier to ask questions, particularly injury questions, of someone in fandom - you tend not to get funny looks then. *g*

That's just it, eh? Some of the injuries are so horrific that you have to think that the character would say 'fuck this shit - I'm out of here' (and thereby leave the author with a huge plot problem. *g*)

*g* Yes, they really don't understand that the emphasis is usually more on the comfort and that's why it's so beloved. I reckon everyone, deep down inside, has a need to but hugged and cuddled and taken care of.

Whumping is most definitely not wanted prior to the taking care of in RL. *g*

*g* Or they at least need to have an excuse. "I've got a bad owie - cuddles!"

Uh, yeah, the six bullet wounds to 'scare' a character was completely over the top! I think one would do the job quite nicely, thanks. *g*

It is... as is equilibrium. ;)

*g* Totally! He takes 'not scaring easily' to new heights of insanity.

You're welcome!
