Prompt Post for the 2010 Pros Big Bang
Feb. 2nd, 2010 04:29 pmDo you fancy participating in the Pros Big Bang without all the work? Do you have more ideas than you have time to write? Well, here’s your chance to leave some plot bunnies for others to give a home to. Potential scribblers, artists, and cheerleaders alike, we’d like you to think about those Pros stories you’d love to see written...
Wanna push Bodie off a cliff? Off a scaffold? Off a spaceship?
Want Doyle to have amnesia? A deadly illness? A mysterious past?
And then of course, there’s the angst and the drama and the witty banter, the rescue and the comfort and the hurt and the... Oh, you all know how this goes!
So please:
1 Leave as many prompts as you want.
2 Make them as detailed or as vague as you wish.
3 AUs and Crossover prompts are more than welcome.
4 No one has to jump in and claim anything – this is a free-for-all to get those creative juices flowing!
Some examples to get the ball rolling:
I’d like to see Bodie and Doyle retire to run a country pub. Then one day Cowley walks in..
The Doctor ( Nine? Ten?) and/or Captain Jack show up in 1980s London..
How about something in the nature of ‘Master and Commander’? With Bodie as the Captain and Doyle as the good doctor..?

Date: 2010-02-02 04:12 pm (UTC)And I've always wondered if Doyle couldn't have received some internal injuries from the hit in the belly by Bodie (can't resist some angsty h/c *g*).
A lengthy exploration of why Bodie decides to completely keep Doyle in the dark about what was going on, and how they get back to trusting each other (always thought it must have felt like a slap in the face to Doyle, who is very open when something is bothering him).

Date: 2010-02-02 04:47 pm (UTC)I locked 'em up in a room together for a Flashfic once, and the locking of antlers between Bodie and Dean Winchester was so much fun to write.

That said... Castiel has to hide your guys temporarily and picks late 1970s England as the last place anyone would look... only they're pursued, leading to strange events in London which drag CI5 in to the frame... Just a thought. *g*

Date: 2010-02-02 05:26 pm (UTC)I'd like a story about older lads separated and off in different professions who have to work together to solve an old CI5-related scandal that threatens to tear their new worlds apart. And, of course, they realize the feelings they denied for so long or hadn't previously recognized or...
Or I'd like a story about Doyle undercover with the IRA in Ireland, the job goes pear-shaped, he disappears off the radar, and Bodie has to go back to Ireland to try and find him -- and hopefully get him out alive.
Or just a simple...who is killing the CI5 agents one by one? Or, variation on an older lads theme, who is killing the RETIRED CI5 agents one by one? (Yes, Betty finally snapped.)

Date: 2010-02-02 06:35 pm (UTC)Ray as a rentboy. There can *never* be too few rentboy!Ray fics. Especially if both Ray and Bodie are rentboys and Cowley is their pimp. (This is not, necessarily, AU. Though it probably is crack...)
Pros/Poirot - Poirot is hit by a car and sent forward in time. Captain Hastings and Cowley know each other - there is another mystery that needs solving. Cowley turns out to know what the hell is going on because CI5 also deals with supernatural goings-on.
Pros/Midsomer Murders. Bodie and Doyle retire to run a country pub. Then Joyce Barnaby starts attending art lectures in their function room. Next thing you know, they're up to their neck in dead bodies and country policemen.
Then there's the Twilight sequel. I've promised that I won't write another one - but that doesn't mean I'm not going to bunny *you* into writing one...

Date: 2010-02-02 09:53 pm (UTC)After watching "Commando Leopard" on Sunday, all I can think of at the moment is a crossover Carrasco/Doyle, with Doyle (Bodie would have to be dead, tragically) working for HM government in Carrasco's fictional Latin American country.

Date: 2010-02-02 09:45 pm (UTC)The one where Doyle and Stuart get together, and Bodie keeps saying he is TOTALLY OKAY WITH IT, but gradually realizes he is NOT, but doesn't want to say anything cause Doyle is finally HAPPY, and there is ANGST, and Stuart is kind of a dick but he makes Doyle HAPPY and BODIE IS TOTALLY OKAY WITH IT, NO REALLY, DAMMIT. AND HE IS NOT IN LOVE WITH DOYLE THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Only he totally is. ANGST.
I tried to write this, but I liked Stuart too much for it to really work.
