Summary: Bodie takes an instant dislike to Ian Woodrow, the man he and Doyle are assigned to protect. Darren Black, Woodrow's partner, is also under protection, but he balks at the tight quarters in the safe house and after having words with Woodrow, he goes missing. Doyle goes looking for Black. When the two men don't return, Bodie and Woodrow must set aside their differences to search for their missing partners.

Happy sigh... I DID enjoy it!
You know that I'm always happy about an established relationship - good trick to reveal it very slowly! ;-)
I like Ian and Darren very much, and the interaction between all four!
Bodie and Ian, what a pair! And Darren is much more that just the 'little friend'.
"It's difficult enough to do the job you do," Ian continued and Bodie was surprised to hear a note of sympathy in his voice. "Darren is more curious than a cat and a dyed-in-the-wool romantic; his interest in your relationship was never malicious."

Besides that it's a good case and action story - but not tooooo sophisticated to get boring.

Lovely, sweet story.

Just one little teeny tiny thing that jarred - Holloway is a women only prison. Sorry! It just really threw me out of the story.

Love the understated relationship between Bodie and Doyle, how they hide their relationship but it still manages to seep through subconsciously.

I enjoyed your story. I liked how you revealed Bodie and Doyle's relationship as a surprise to the reader. Your OCs were quite nice. Bodie and Ian's head-butting made me shake my head. Men! Thanks so much. And I'm glad I could help with your summary.

Thanks for a great story, I enjoyed it very much. Your OC's were likeable and interesting and the snapping and snarling between Ian and Bodie very well done and amusing. I liked the way you showed us the closeness between Bodie and Doyle, but we were never quite sure at first just how close they were!

This is the first one I've read from the lovely crop of stories. I loved it - the banter, how Bodie and Doyle just gel, the feel-good feeling I had throughout, the action - the whole wonderful package! And may I say how much I adored Ian and Darren. Those two need their own series of stories. (I'm not very fandomish, not knowing many other fandoms and now I'm wondering if maybe Ian and Darren are from some other media or simply wonderful original characters.)

An enjoyable story - Bodie and Ian being all alpha male (I can really see Bodie relishing the clash!), Bodie and Doyle being so discreet about their relationship that even the reader doesn't realise straight away that they're together, and of course the downfall of Willis is always welcomed!

Just popping in to say how much I enjoyed your story! I loved the whole set up: the tense, claustrophobic confinement of the 4 men culminating in a great action scene; the unexpected post-action twist in the story; loved reading the outside POV re the lads (e.g. From his vantage point at the bedroom window, he'd seen the contact between the two men out by the shed, and he'd also seen Bodie put his hand on Ray's back as they returned to the house) and the almost mirror effect of the two couples discussing each other. I loved your Bodie doing what Bodie does best: effortlessly winding people up, keeping them in line and then, the mutual hostility giving way to mutual understanding and humour - that was real and something I could see happening all too easily.

Thank you so much! I'm so pleased that the things I worried about so much came across well. I love the way Bodie pokes and pokes until he gets a reaction. I reckon he'd be the only one mad enough to poke Doyle until he erupts. *g* Bodie and Woodrow both having been soldiers in their past, I figured they would have learned how to put aside their differences to get the job done.
