And here we are with the first check-in post of 2018. *\o/*

This is an opportunity for you to talk about how things are going, if the words are flowing out in a flood of prose, or you're currently stationed in the middle of the Sahara. Have Bodie and Doyle wrestled each other into bed in your first paragraph? Have they decided to ignore each other, bringing your story to a halt before it starts? Let us know how it's going, positive or negative. We're here with a good cuppa and a little Swiss Roll encouragement.

When hubby asks if I mind if he goes away for a week on his motorbike, I say casually, sure, great idea...meanwhile my writing brain is throwing a wild party because I will get five evenings of pure, unadulterated writing time!

Yay for 'me' time. *g*

I don't know about anyone else but I really struggle to concentrate when the TV is on but at the same time I feel super guilty not spending my evenings with my lovely other half, who bless his cotton socks, rushed out and bought me a new you beaut laptop last night because my not so old one stopped charging. So my current routine is getting up at 5.15 am to snatch 20 minutes writing time before I have to head off for work then I just toy with it in the evening.

Going away on your motorbike is very Doyle, so he's subliminally inspiring you as well as sponsoring a beaut new laptop and disappearing for a week so you can concentrate guilt free.

Its funny you say that, I've just been watching some prosy vids which I haven't done for ages. It really does get you into the zone It reminds me of their voices and their rhythm *g*

Maybe it's time I did some more internet trawling and see if I can find some new ones - I do often wonder what the authorities would make of my hard drive - if they ever had occasion to look at it...

No flowing words, no floods -pro's (hee!) or otherwise, and its been more like Siberia than the Sahara.

But there is just the smallest bit of an idea, so things are not desperate yet!

As usual (and I can say that now - second time !) I have commenced my Pros BB by writing and posting some MFU. Clearly, I'm not simply stationed in the Sahara (another MFU reference), but more wandering aimlessly round it like a dizzy camel.

On the upside, I have nearly finished a chapter of my BB opus.

I'm hoping it will multiply and be fruitful.
