Summary: Doyle is saddened when told of the suicide death of an ex-colleague and good friend. Then, some months later, when he thought he had come to terms with the loss, he receives an anonymous tip which raises unanswered questions about her death. Against Cowley’s express orders Doyle drags his reluctant partner along on a wild goose chase but when he gets too close to the truth, his own life is threatened while Bodie is napping.

Notes: I owe a huge debt of gratitude to margaret_r, jaicen5 and good friend Irene for their patience, beta and suggestions and margaret_r  for her hand holding on posting day. I would have been a mess without your help. Without their encouragement this story would never have been finished. Any mistakes are entirely mine because as anyone who knows me, knows I can't stop tweaking. Feel free to let me know if you find any typos so I can correct them.

Yes!! It did (with some expert help from margaret_r) I don't think I could have managed the formatting issues and LJ tricks of the trade without her expertise. (plus I had to go to work in the afternoon so I was time poor) It does feel good to not have to think about it every waking moment *g*

I don't know that I'm entirely happy with it but then I have never actually been happy with anything I've written so it is what it is. I'm excited to get on with reading the other submissions now that I'm free :D
