Hello one and all and welcome to another weekly check in! I hope this finds you well and working away furiously.

On a personal note, a few weeks ago, I’d all but decided to withdraw for this year and keep my WIP on the go as an entry for 2022. I have however, recently worked out how certain things are going to go and have suddenly fallen in love with writing the story, AT LAST! The only thing against me now will be time. I’m 15000 words into what realistically needs to be a 75000 word work and I’ve no idea if this is something I can achieve before October, no idea at all.

How about you? Are you also looking nervously at the calendar? Without wishing to pile on the pressure of course, I should just give a timely reminder that you have till the end of the month to sign up for Artist and vidder positions. Therefore, for the gluttens of punishment who write AND draw, get yourselves signed up! For the Picasso’s amongst us who don’t write but DO draw, get yourselves signed up! And for those that have never participated but fancy a little go at it, get yourselves signed up! What’s the worst thing that could happen?

Join in with the CI5 Box of Tricks Big Bang they said… It will be fun they said…
And it is, it really IS, honestly…xx

So glad you decided to stay on as a writer! Really looking forward to reading it, the idea you had mentioned previously sounds intriguing - and a bit of a challenge! ;-)

My own writing is not going so well - or going at all really. I'm working on the BB from last year when I did drop out and have only added another 500 words to the 7000 from last year. Can't figure out a good ending. The lads are being difficult.

I'm inching forward. Word count is fine, it's just marshalling enough time!

I'm having serious doubts with regard to continuing this year, the word count is fine but I've not written anything for over a month. I have been waiting on something in real life but am still in limbo 3 weeks down the line, which if it happens will totally throw everything out of the window. I don't want to leave it to the last minute to pull out but on the other hand I don't want to commit and fail. I will give it another couple of weeks and decide before the artists/vidders post closes. Hopefully I will still be here come October.

This is one of many reasons I'm in awe of all of you who signed up for this... fun?! (So I'm told anyway.) I CANNOT write on a deadline. Nope, no way, no how, not a chance (and have it come our worth reading.) I've got WIPs for 5-8 YEARS. For those writers/artists who sign up and actually produce readable, logical stories/artwork that start with a beginning, follow a general storyline, and come to a sensible ending WITH A DEADLINE... I'm in absolute awe!. And for those that sign up but falter somewhere along the way, at least you thought it was a possibility that you might get it done. (Me, not a chance in H511.)

Bravo whichever way it turns out! (Clapping hands and jumping up and down!)

Pick the newbie.I have about 5 stories started and abandoned as ideas changed. My biggest dilemma was trying to find an original storyline. Being an avid Pros reader it wasn't as easy as I thought as every theme seems to be covered. So putting head down and with fingers flying over the keyboard mainly hitting wrong keys ( knew i should've taken typing at school). I'm hoping I've found a storyline that doesn't plagarise anyone's work. The story is now completed as I have a lot of commitments later this year so time wasn't going to be on my side if I dillydallied.
My question is, is it ok to send the whole story on Ist July and how do I send it. Im not familiar with LJ.
