Sorry about the delay, BBers - I fell down the Black Hole of Income Production...

Well - here we are! Safely past the Ides of March (though we still live in far too interesting times), just past the green beer mountain (St. Patty's Day, if you celebrate), and only three and a half months left until that first BB draft is due.

So, a quick poll: how's it going?

1. Done. AND Cowley is pleased. (BWAHAHAHAHA - though there actually are a couple of people who may be done).
2. Well, I've got B&D in the same room, but they sure don't want to get together...
3. One hundred words, and proud of 'em!
4. I have six billion different starts, and none of them are going anywhere
5. BB? There's a BB?

So question… which is considered the “true” timeline? The order the episodes were aired or the order they were produced?

The order that works for your story. ;D

Not being facetious. There are the lists on The Hatstand; but some writers use transmission order, some writers use taping order, and some writers use whatever order works best for their story.

I'm guessing you're asking mainly about filming vs transmission order. The episodes were filmed in a way that the order doesn't actually matter; there is no "how they met" episode, nor a "how it all ended" episode. There is no reference to earlier events in later stories. (And the last shown is not only not the last filmed, but not forced to be the last episode by the writing.) The only real way to tell the passage of time is through the wardrobe - and Doyle's perm. :D

As long as it makes sense in the context of your story, any order will work. In the end, it's all up to you. :-)
