[Poll #1745502]
To help us all along,  and inspired by the F*** Yeah Fanfic Flamingo Tumblr   (NSFW) (thanks [livejournal.com profile] draycevixen  and [livejournal.com profile] mikes_grrl ) I've created a little meme generator...

Who better to ask for help with your story than the Controller himself - that's 'Mister' Cowley to you and me. *g*

For example:

I've only "known" her about six months, but the relationship with my beta-ish is going very well.

...I wonder if she'd be on board for the original fic I've had percolating for about 18 months?

Oooh do you also wake up in the middle of the night with a fantastic idea that you can't remember the next morning?

Insomnia has been the source of a few fics, and near-insomnia has killed a few others. :(

Once you've given a car a sex life, all things are possible.

Okay, I *need to know about this*. :looking for links:

It was for a different fandom, Life on Mars so don't think it would interest you.

You really DO NOT know your readers, eh?

Even if you´d ended your BB story with them split up, there´d be masses of comments making you want to write a following piece where they get back together.
And that just shows that whatever you´ll write, it will be read!

And get out from under that table, I´ve seen you.
(It sounded like you were about to split them up, not spying on them?)

Thank you for the lovely comment... but really I'd have to write another 20,000 words on top of this to make the readers happy?

*goes back to hiding under the table with the lads* *takes notes for 20,000 word PWP*

Ah, but then the cheese sauce would be burned/singed too, because singed cows would produce singed milk... it's got a follow on effect, you know. And you know what happens when you burn the cheese sauce.

I think we all think our stuff is rubbish when we start writing... and then our beta comes along and smacks us on the back of the head and tells us not be an idiot... oh wait, that's what mine does. *g* I'm sure your story isn't anywhere near rubbish.

And you know what happens when you burn the cheese sauce.

You claim it's nouveau cuisine and charge extra money for it?

LOL That, AND it clumps nastily and doesn't cover well at all! (or maybe that's just because I'm rather inept in the kitchen *g*)

I have to agree with [livejournal.com profile] liriel1810: my count may be a little higher (and I still have quite a bit of writing to go), but otherwise you and I are living parallel lives, my friend.

And my beta smacked me on the head, too. :D

I suppose it depends on what you're trying to coat in cheese sauce.

My beta has been been alternating between waving her pompoms madly in my face or smacking me on the head with them ... I think she's wearing them out*g* I think I'll make the word count for the looming deadline - it will just be as specified ... a very, very rough draft:D

Ah, a fellow sufferer! Thank goodness I'm not alone*g* I have probably more than 3,000 words if I put all the bits together - but it's hard to join it up when it's full of bright red writing saying "fix this", "fill out here", "More dialogue"*g* The whole thing seems to have more gaps than a sieve!

My beta has been working her butt off too, smacking, waving her pompoms - she's worth her weight in gold:)

If we both hang in there I'm sure we'll make it *looks hopeful*:D

*g* Sounds very much like my beta. Betas like that are worth their weight in gold. Hey, a rough draft is good! Then you get another three months to polish it up all shiny. ;)
