What bridge is Doyle standing on in Blackout (the conversation with Stuart)? And is it in an area where CI5 might locate an agent's flat?
Thanks!

From memory (am just dashing out so haven't got time to check) it's not a bridge. It's the South Bank that runs along the River Thames near the Royal Festival Hall. I can't think of any time they lived South of the river.

Yes, it's odd, this. I was looking for possible locations for flats, and on looking at the map realised that they never seem to be living south of the river. My other problem is that the map isn't helpful in terms of what was happening then - I know where it would be nice or not nice to live now, but in the early Eighties? Not a clue!

My conclusion is that I'm not too bothered - I have plenty of other inaccuracies to panic about!

I could be totally wrong but it looks like the bridge behind Stuart as they're standing talking is the Hungerford Rail Bridge, and as ilwb says, they're on the South Bank. Not an ideal location for a flat actually, with Waterloo station and some fairly scuzzy areas (then rather than now) close by. It's interesting though because earlier Doyle had picked Stuart up from what looked like next to Lambeth Bridge, and on the other side of the river (which would be close to, say, Pimlico, parts of which are posh and parts of which might have been OK for a CI5-type flat).

Just to add that Doyle's flat in Fall Girl is 35 Orbel Street, Battersea, but afaik that is the only flat for either of them south of the river, unsurprisingly since there seems to have been very little Pros filming there; the park in Lawson's Last Stand, the railway sidings in Blind Run - both Battersea...

Doyle's old flat in Female Factor is right next door to Hammersmith Bridge.
