Just a quick reminder to everyone that the deadline for the rough draft is getting ever closer and that your files are due by midnight July 1st (PST).

If you would like to take a look at the requirements for the rough draft and summary you can see them here.

And the details of how to send us your drafts can be found here.

As always if you have any questions please just let us know and good luck to everyone!

BUUWWWWAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGH D:

(Actually, it's not too bad; I'll finish cleaning up what I have and send it over. But I wanted to be much farther than I am right now. ;_;)

Send what you have after your clean up. We want to have an idea that you're working your way to the finish line and you feel good about the journey. *bg* Thanks!

Well, you can have it *g* but there are bits that need changing round a bit. And missing bits, but you can get the general gist, I think.

Still working on the summary :(

If you take a look at the "artist claiming post' (look at the tags list in the links list for 2010 or 2011) you can see the sort of anonymous summaries writers have come up with the last couple of years. See, they're quite small.

Remember, you're not trying to come up with a summary that you'd post when you finally post your story but rather something to give the artists an idea of it when they're choosing a story.

Thanks - that differentiation helps. I was thinking more about trying to describe the whole thing to entice a reader *g*

I thought that might be the case as a summary for readers makes me sweat a bit but a summary for artists' claims is a bit different.

In this case you're really just trying to give them a flavour of it... like is it AU? Where's it set? That sort of thing, so they can decide if your story will probably be a good match with their skills/the art they'd like to make.
