I've managed to tear myself away from the evil trap laid by norfolkdumpling, LOL...

No writing in months. There's been some wonderful research, true, but I've written maybe 100 words in the past 2-3 months (although I made the word count).

Plus there's some RL stuff that has come up, which may put the kabosh on the BB this year. I'm hoping to have some idea in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the 22 Rules - there really is some good stuff in there! As to actually applying any of it to a story... well, it would help if I had one, heh. Although, thanks to a certain wonderful person in this fandom who shall remain anonymous for the moment I do have at least the germ of an idea - at bloody last!! There's still time, right? *squeap*

Those 22 rules are really good - thanks for the link! Might help me troubleshoot a few things. I've got a sort of plot and some ideas and some words, but I'm still waiting for the whole thing to cohere...

#3 Trying for theme is important, but you won’t see what the story is actually about til you’re at the end of it. Now rewrite. Yep, that's the bottom line, for me. See what's in the story as a whole.

Let's see--I wrote some last week and look forward to getting a few lines in today. Bodie and Doyle think they are getting out of a jam, but are they???
