I started reading your story last night and I'll have you know I had to set my alarm for this morning and wake up early reaching for my kindle because I couldn't bear to go to work again without finishing it! Yes, I enjoyed it very much!
The tattooing bit made my skin creep in sympathy (sorry, I have something of a needle phobia so it says something that I managed to read that bit at all!)and you certainly kept the tension going right the way through. I thought you got the character of both lads very well but also Cowley. Definitely a keeper and a great start to the Box of Tricks!
And glad you like the icon, it always makes me giggle. The work of the talented Black Mushroom of whom I have seen or heard little since I found this some years ago.
