The story was inspired by firlefanzine who remarked, wistfully (I thought), that nobody would ever set a Pros story in Wolfkammer, Komp and Mennkausen, which are villages near the place where she lives. Well, with a challenge like that... and we'd just been discussing the supernatural elements of All The Queen's Men, too!! So Wolfkammer is dedicated to her.

Makes a change to see a Pros fic set outside the UK or Africa, and to see them out of their usual 'habitat' so to speak :)
