N.R.Walker book & fic idea

Has anyone read Breaking Point by N R Walker? Its about an undercover cop going into the cage fighting world. If anyone else has read it do you think this could be a Bodie centric fic idea?

An interesting idea! There is story out there somewhere, where in Doyle is sent undercover as a boxer, but gets badly injured in his fight, so Bodie has to go in to replace him.

I have read some of NR Walkers stories - but not this one. I'll have to take a look!

Breaking point is book 2, you will need to read book 1 first!

I don't believe I've read any N.R.Walker - and it's Doyle who usually gets associated with boxing in the fic I've seen - but Bodie boxes in the titles, so it's fair game canon-wise.

Cage-fighting isn't culturally contemporary with the lads - martial arts were still big - (or bare-knuckle, really) - but as an AU, I'd buy a cage fighting Bodie.

And there's nothing to say someone couldn't have set up cage-fighting earlier than its adoption by mainstream popular culture - everything has roots somewhere. And that would make more sense if it's supposed to be an underground activity.

Personally, if you have a fic idea for it, I'd go for it :0)

Me neither, it was ages before I plucked up the courage to do a BB.

If you need a bit of a boost, ask for a beta - someone who will help you edit and hone your story. Loads of people use them. It's a particular skill - different to writing, and I don't think I have it - but there are numerous people who do. There are loads of different beta styles and I'm sure you would find someone you could gel with.

And even the best writers had never written a fic until they did ! :0)
