Summary: "Part of life, it seems, is starting over again and again, each time a little smarter than the last." Brent Corrigan.

Notes: A vidder for two stories last year I was so impressed by The Pros Big Bang that I decided to both write and vid in 2011, despite me being a short story writer by preference. So was born my first ever story over 20,000 words which I lovingly dedicate to those who helped and encouraged me. Sabs, Jaicen, Andy, Judes, Rave, Sara and Aldene all gave me their time, support, advice and patience – thank you from the bottom of my heart, guys. And for those of you who have been trying to teach me the dark art of POV – I apologise. I tried, I promise I did. Finally thank you to our amazing Mods and my Artist gblvr. *inserts ‘we are not worthy’ icon here*

In this story I did something I swore I’d never do – I created family. And that leads me to the inspiration for the story; the troubled, much misunderstood and truly divine Brent Corrigan, who I believe is gorgeous both inside and out.

Nicely done! I love stories that delve into possible pasts for the lads. We learn a lot about Bodie's and even get a little hint of Ray's. The characters were well drawn and very believable. Terrific story!

The artwork is beautiful and fits so well. A wonderful job by both of you! (and please feel welcome to join those of us who are sitting back and enjoying being finished. It does feel good, doesn't it! *g*)

It's a pity about the POV problem because it does rather stand out. Never mind, there's always hope for next time. Congratulations on finishing your story.

****Slight Spoiler****

Just finished a marathon effort before I have to head off to work! Great plot with so much of your personality in it. I loved the motorbike scene with Doyle following, such a great security innovation and I can just see Doyle expertly weaving his way through traffic keeping Bodie and his brother safe and becoming sodden in the process. Had a chuckle at the suspension on the Capri and the women waiting for autographs...I wonder where those observations came from? *g*

Clever dilemma for Bodie, Doyle or his brother??? He would have to had a hard time with that. I enjoyed the action and the h/c. Both in slings at the end!

Kick back now matey and relax, you've earned it.

OK, it's finally up, you can stop the stressing. Well done on such a long story, I know that you prefer to write shorter ones and writing a long one can take an awful lot of patience and time. There is such a lot of you in this story, little things that those in the know will pick up and smile at. have a whole box of choccies mate, you deserve it

There's so much I love about VICE it's hard to sum it up in a few little lines :o)
The shower scene, the truly special London locations, the intriguing insight into Bodie's past and his family history. I loved getting to know Bodie as a big brother and his interaction and relationship with Michael. And I loved how he needed Doyle at his side to help him cope with that new role and situation.
To me VICE is the perfect mixture of action, H/C and personal growth, and it's a truly special and amazing tribute to our Brent.
And hats off to you for writing SUCH a bloody long story!!! I could never ever do it and am deeply in awe of you now ;o)

I'm so happy you got your story posted! Yay! I shall read it now that I'm back home and able to find my brain once again. LOL! I've looked at the nice art gblvr did for your story.

(If you ever need POV help, I'm ready to help. I can't write a decent sentence without beating it to a pulp, but I can keep your POV in focus. *bg*)

Congrats on your first long story *g* I happen to really like fic where people invent family and backstory for Pros and I liked your OC Michael and the very (sadly) believable story you had for him and Bodie, growing up with all that prejudice and all the problems it went on to cause. I like that you used Bodie and Doyle's relationship as a positive thing in juxtaposition to the seedier, if not downright horrible side of the world of sex; you clearly wanted to make some points about the sex industry and I think that's an excellent thing. And as a stand-out, the lovely shower scene with Bodie warming Doyle up - really enjoyed that *g*

Art is gorgeous, matches the mood so well and the fanmix has introduced me to a lot of new songs and artists - a great idea for part of the artwork! *g*

Due to RL insanity I'm really lagging behind on the BB stories already *headdesk* but you've been Kindleized (I hope it didn't hurt too much) and I do look forward to catching up.

Thanks. :D

Mikey is a great original character. I was fascinated to read that you've based the idea loosely on Brent Corrigan because I agree with you about him. An interesting story! Thanks for all the work you and your artist have put in for our pleasure!

That was such good fun, thank you!

I do love your OC Michael, especially the way he's a victim at the start, but strong and confident by the end (love the guy you picked out for him too *g*). There were some lovely individual scenes too - the description of Doyle on the motorbike, and the two of them cuddled up in the morning with Michael quietly watching - just lovely.

Thank you for all your hard work, and for sharing with the rest of us. I hope you're as happy with it now it's done as I was reading it.

I'm way behind, with no time to read at the moment, but your fic has been downloaded to my new kindle! I tend to have a fondness for family-related stories, so I'm looking forward to this, thank you! :-D

Catching up! I really enjoyed this and I think one of the best aspects of the story was the way the character of Michael was instrumental in showing the reader not only a different side to Bodie but also showing Doyle a different Bodie. And I loved the way we could see their relationship (and closeness) via Michael’s eyes. I really welcome stories which have something different about them, something original and I think creating the character of Michael as Bodie’s brother and someone who was quite different to Bodie, was a great idea. Add to that the excitement of the plot itself and the reasons for Michael’s terror this was definitely my kind of story!

I appreciate all your hard work here, thanks a lot!

This is a really fantastic story. Your plotting is wonderful and I love the character of Michael and how both Bodie and Doyle are so protective of him.

And I do like your use of multiple POV. Sometimes it's good to see what multiple characters are thinking in a scene, and you handle the transition between POVs well.

Brava!

Finally catching up with the stories, being late with my work here sadly made me skip the stories first .
After reading the comments, I had absolutely no problem catching up with the pov´s.
I really like that you made Bodie a big brother and I adore your easy way of making the lads so comfortable with each other.

And matching songs to the story and creating an album for it is such a brilliant idea and matches your work perfectly!
Congrats to both your wonderful art!
