Title: Here the Whole World
Author: izzie

Artist: Lorraine
artconserv
Archive to Pros Lib: Yes
Genre: Slash
Characters/Pairing: Bodie/Doyle
Word count: 20250
Warnings: No warnings apply
Summary: The story is set post Discovered in a Graveyard. When Bodie returns from an undercover operation that has reluctantly taken him away from his convalescing partner for a month, he discovers that all is not well. Doyle's recovery has come to almost a complete halt, so to get him back on track, and ultimately back on the squad, Bodie moves in with him. But it takes a stay on the edges of the Peak District for matters to come to a head.
Notes: This story was largely written some years ago for publication in a zine which never saw the light of day, and my beta was the lovely
callistosh65. It has been revised and extended since then, so any remaining mistakes, inconsistencies or typos are entirely down to me.
I was extraordinarily fortunate to have Lorraine as my artist, whose work complements (and probably outshines) the story. She has many more outstanding illustrations of Bodie and Doyle on her website, so do pay a visit and leave feedback. Her Professionals page can be found here. To view the slash page, you will need to sign in - Username: Slasher Password: p12r23o34s45 (they are case sensitive).
Finally, a big thank you to all the mods for giving up so much of their time to organise this BB, and for being unfailingly patient and helpful!

Date: 2012-02-19 02:34 pm (UTC)Well here, this is how far behind I am on my reading. *g*
I finished reading your story this morning and just wanted to drop you a line. I really enjoyed the post-action pace of it, the quietness of it, if you will, as these two men worked it out. The pace did a great job of echoing and emphasising Doyle's withdrawal as he's usually so frenetic, even when supposedly at rest.
Thank you for a lovely read. :D

Date: 2011-10-22 04:43 am (UTC)*Really* well written. I think you got the lads down like nobody's business, and it's a really believable premise.
And Lorraine's artwork is incredibly detailed. I looked through her site earlier - she's definitely a fan :D and she's definitely got a great eye.
Thanks very much for writing / drawing / posting!

Date: 2011-10-29 10:30 am (UTC)I seem to have struck a hitherto unsuspected vein of Peak District Pros fans with this! I'm in Sussex, but I love that whole area.
Lorraine's work is amazing - I couldn't believe my luck when she chose my story to illustrate :)
